Ramble Alert! No, I'm not kidding.
Wow, so I'm about to pretty much spill my guts onto a page and though most people would go through and make a couple of drafts after that, I'm just gonna spill and leave it the way it is. And if you don't like it. Well, stop reading my blog silly! It's not like it's assigned to you as homework. And if it is assigned to you as homework, let me know, I might want to think about collecting some sort of royalty.
So last Thursday I had a quick meeting with Pastor Travis and came home and jumped on my computer, only to have it suddenly freeze up and make a strange clicking sound. Turned it off and back on only to find that it would no longer boot up, but continued to make that clicking sound. Darn. I called up Apple Care the next day knowing that it was likely a hard drive failure. That weekend I went and had the drive replaced for free (warranties are worth it on laptops/hard drives). However, I lost a ton of data because I hadn't had a chance to get a good back up. I just bought an external hard drive to remedy that problem. For your reference, recovery of data from a failed drive is $500-$2000+ depending on how much they are able to retrieve for you. The music, pictures and financial data from quicken were not worth $2000. I was able to retrieve 90% of my music from my Iphone. The pictures are gone, and quicken, well if I had a business, that might have been a real problem, but I'm up and running again on that.
Work, it's been crazy at Boeing. I've put in over 120 hours of OT this quarter. Things are really coming together and I'm pretty optimistic about the future of the 787 line at this point, but we still have a lot of work to do. This is a major change of heart from what I thought about it back last summer. I've cut out the overtime for now, at least until the end of Juneuary, which is when they can make me work the OT again.
Speaking of Juneuary, I'm not a fan of this weather lately. At least we aren't experiencing huge earthquakes, floods, tornado's and what have you. You know, global warming is the lamest name for what scientists and key political and entertainment figures are calling the state of our planet right now. Nobodies really talking about the record cold weather we've been experiencing this year in our still EVERGREEN state.
When summer does arrive, I plan on enjoying my new past-times, and hopefully getting out and enjoying my all time favorites. I'm also volunteering at a really awesome youth camp. Did you hear about it? You should be going to it, or encouraging a young person you know to go to it.
I wasn't planning on bringing this up, but apparently somewhere out there a little birdie, that doesn't know anything about anything, has been whispering inaccuracies. I am still very much single, and I'm ok with it. Pastor Jeff had a message on Sunday about Loving and Trusting our heavenly Father. That in a nutshell is what I've been trying to do for a long time now. It's what I'm intent on accomplishing.
I'm looking to go on some sweet hikes soon, hope some of you might join me.
